​St Benedict's Certified Family Home is managed by Ben and Sheena Stanciu, a doctor-nurse duo who have recently relocated back to Nampa from Newcastle, United Kingdom where they completed their medical training. St Benedict's ethos is guided by the core values of the UK’s National Health Service which shaped their professional lives; values which emphasized dignity, respect, compassion, and truly person-centered care. As a husband-and-wife team, they bring nearly two decades of combined experience from the UK’s National Health Service back to Ben's home town of Nampa.

During his career as a doctor, Ben has spent nearly ten years working across various medical specialties, with most recently working as a Palliative Care Specialty Doctor at a hospice inpatient unit, supporting individuals with very complex, life-limiting conditions. Sheena is a registered nurse with also nearly a decade of experience, mostly working in acute settings such as the cardiac catheter lab and intensive care unit. These backgrounds allow them to anticipate needs early, communicate effectively with both families and providers, and deliver thoughtful, person-centered care that goes beyond basic assistance.
